FOR THE EVENT
The “Timcheh Music Festival” (TMF) stands as a beacon of intercultural collaboration and artistic expression in the North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) region. The festival is dedicated to promoting new forms of creative expression, particularly in the realm of experimental music from the diaspora community in Germany and Euroup.
TMF aims to foster a diverse and inclusive environment where individuals from varied backgrounds can experience a sense of belonging that transcends geographical and ethnic boundaries. The universal language of dance, music, and (audio-)visual presentations is a key component of this initiative. To date, two successful editions of the Timcheh Music Festival have been organized in Cologne, each furthering the festival’s mission of cultural exchange and artistic innovation.
TMF thrives as a collective endeavor, with its continuity hinging on the resources and capabilities of its community members. Your participation could significantly contribute to the planning and execution of this event. Please reach out to us via email, or sign up for our collaboration pool, If you are interested to help us with the organizing of future editions of the festival. Let’s build it together!

The inaugural Timcheh Electronic Music Festival (TEMF 2021) was hosted on November 12th and 13th at the Kunsthafen im Rhenania in Cologne. This event convened 19 artists from across Europe, both Iranian and international, for a two-night celebration of experimental electronic music. The festival showcased a fusion of audio-visual artistry, live concerts, and DJ sets. The first evening was a showcase of leftfield electronic music, while the second day transitioned from experimental performances to a vibrant club night. TEMF was privileged to partner with renowned curators such as Ata Ebtekar “Sote,” Behrooz Moosavi, Stefanie Grawe, and Nesa Azadikhah.
In addition to the performances, a networking event on Saturday morning was arranged to foster collaboration and dialogue among artists.
Despite coinciding with a surge in the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany, the festival drew an audience of over 400 individuals. The positive reception from attendees and performers alike was a compelling endorsement for the continuation and further development of the festival series.
